The Barefoot Park | "Barfusspfad"
Wednesday, July 27, 2016Growing up, playing outside barefoot was a common occurrence, so slipping off my shoes and skipping and shuffling over the varying textures of this trail felt like stepping into the past.
If you and your family like being outdoors and don't mind being barefoot, you'll love walking and documenting your family playing in this beautiful park.
Ticket's were $4 for adults and $2.50 for ages 3-17. We were on a bit of a schedule that day unfortunately, but otherwise could have easily spent the entire day there playing, exploring and eating goodies from the brat and ice cream stands.
If this looks like a place your family would enjoy, their website is below with more info.

The Clark Family | When it Rains During Your Family Session
Wednesday, June 22, 2016
What would you do if it rained during your family session?
I'll tell you what the Clarks did. They shrugged their shoulders, wiped off their toddlers stained trousers and muddy hands. Then smiled as they watched him return to a fresh puddle for more.
Weather isn't always perfect, clothes don't always stay clean, children don't always hold still or want to be held... That's okay. Sometimes all we can do when life happens is smile and choose to be perfectly happy anyways.
Luckily for us, perfect picture-worthy moments aren't created by careful preparation or ideal weather conditions. They are created when you give yourself permission to relax, laugh, and enjoy being with your family in the imperfectly perfect moments.

This location was an absolute dream. A windy path,
gorgeous rape seed fields, and orange light that sparkled and slowly settled like
fairy dust. You couldn't ask for a prettier backdrop or a more perfect day for a session.
It's always an honor (and truthfully a bit nerve racking) getting asked to photograph a fellow photographer's family. Especially when said photographer is so talented and down to earth! But it was an absolute treat getting to photograph Jenny and her adorable family.
